Went shooting with a friend the other day. He was shooting his new to him S&W shield.
He complained of a round jamming in shield and had to disasemble to get out.
The round was a Tula ammo 9 mm.
He handed the round to me and I noticed the primer had a normal firing pin strike ,bullet had not moved. I noticed the primer was flattened and back out some ,showing pressure signs.
Brought the round home and pulled the bullet. Powder was still there looked in case saw bulging where primer is but then I noticed
it had no flash hole.
never seen one of these before

Ray Chapman had a factory US brand (I forget which of the big 3) like that in a match in
the 1977 or 1978 IPSC World Championship in South Africa. He was not too pleased.

We were firing rapid prone, ten rounds in 70 seconds. I got all ten rounds downrange, but just barely. That was just a malfunction to clear so was no big deal. The thing that almost hurt my score was the 6th round I fired on that warm, sunny August day. The brass ejected straight up and came down on my neck and rolled down my back. INSIDE my shirt!

I was once shooting in a .22 pistol match (50ft indoors) and had a misfire. The case was dented. When I took it apart, it had no priming compound. It was a Remington target round. Only misfire I have had with factory ammo.
