I'm shooting the above bullet, air wheel weights, through my S&W 614 6", my Ruger SP101 3", and my Malin 32 Cowboy. All three barrrels slug out right around .312". I'm not sure of the measurements of the two rvolver throats. The bullets come out of the mold between .3145 and .3155, with even a few at .316. What's the opinions out there shooting them as cast with the LLA or 40/60/10 tumble lube. Sure would make life easier if I didn't have to size them, as I have been doing, to .314. Anybody care to share their wisdom with me on this subject? Thanks for any help you can give.

If they chamber, the larger size isn't likely to cause problems if you're within reason with the loads.

I agree.

What I would do is make up a few dummy rounds and check to see if they chamber freely. If the do you should be good to go. If not, a Lee sizer works pretty quickly.

+1 on all that. Shoot 'em as cast if you can. You may find they bulge the cases too much, however.

If they chamber you can certainly shoot them as cast. However the variation in size can cause variation in the time/pressure curve which can adversely affect accuracy. I shoot gobs of those bullets through my own .32s. I TL them, let dry and then size base first through a .314 sizer. An extra step yes but the results are worth it.

LArry - You say the you tumble lube and then size in a basse first sizer. A Lyman 450 or somethting similar and do you then relube with that machine or tumble lube them again? I got these shooting very well in my Malin Cowboy loaded with 2.6 gr Bullseye but want to work up some handgun 60ft target loads. Probably aroound 2.0 to 2.1 Bullseye. Thanks for your input, Tom

I TL in straight LLA and let the bullets dry completely. I then push them Base first through a Lee .314 sizer. They retain plenty of lube and I do not relubed for use in my .32 S&WL and .32 H&R loads. I don't lube again for use in .31 cal rifles. If used in .30 cal rifles and sized to .311 I will relubed again with LLA to make sure the grooves are full of lube. That keep the grooves from being wiped away during sizing.

While I lube my Lee TL .38, .41 and .44 bullets in the Lyman 450 (by choice for no other real reason) I do not the diminutive TL314-90-SWCs. I TL those.
