Could anyone steer me in the right direction as to an accurate load for cast bullets, in a 7BR Xp-100? Thanx!

Being a bolt gun, and one hopefully built correctly, use rifle loads with fast powders. This means approach 40K-45K, starting at 35K, looking for accuracy ONLY with powders like N105 (BlueDot) on through RL7, working towards the slower powders when the previous powder speed did not fare well. Need to limit speed to 2400 fps (24 inch barrel equivalent). If access to a chrono, try for 1800, 2100, 2400 fps equivalents giving preference to the faster powders when possible. Use pistol primers when your firing pin permits low ES(s) with them. Try to avoid H110/WW296, and use them only as a last resort. All this assumes your barrel is BR quality with associated twist for the light BR bullets. Use a neck total clearance of 0.001, adjusting brass and boolit diameters. ... felix

Thanx Felix. My Xp-100 is of the pistol type,(not made into a rifle), so a quick burning powder is even more important, correct?

Not really true, elvis. The reason for the pistol powder is the resulting sharper ignition impulse which gives less damaging recoil. Rifle powders can deliver better accuracy, but that won't be realized because of the recoil dynamics. Takes mucho practice to make the latter condition happen. By then you might tire of using boolits and revert back to condoms. ... felix
