Trouble at night with forum.... [Archive]

Seems like i am not really able to do much on the forum at night for the last couple days.... I am doing just fine durring the day, but later on... It justdies and takes several min to load up the forum list or retrieve messages....

Just thought somebody should know....

It is taking a couple of minutes for each page to load for me as well! Definately a new thing, The speed is , as a rule much faster. Are we out of "space" again?

Same here. I live just on the outside of town and two days ago I had the internet company at my home and the Tec dude said the the amount of internet traffic in the evening around the holidays has increased to the point that it is slowing mine down. He claims that at least in our town that they are putting new equipment that will not be subject to decreased speeds.

Not good here for the last 3 or 4 days. Day or night its been a minute or two to load pages and the occasional lock where the little wheel spins and nothing happens until you get off the site and then back on again. Happens on home PC using normal site and tablet and phone using tapatalk pro.

+1 to the last 5 posts. Everybody that is still working(I'm retired) must have logged on at their work computers.

"EDIT" The first 3 times I tried to post, I was asked if I wanted to leave page, that info would be lost if I left. Fourth time was the charm except it lost last sentence. I assume Willy is working on it.

Yeah same thing going on with me, server seems to be bone idle when it used to act like a funny car on a 1/4 mile race track. Try and load pages and most of the time it times out, other times it wont load at all. Figure in time it will be corrected like in the past..

I haven't had any issues.. I normally aren't on the site after 9pm EST so maybe thats it.

This site has been having it's fair share of problems as of late and the guys are doing an excellent job of addressing that.

You can tell if it is the site you trying to log on to or your computer/provider/cable/whatever is s___l___o____w by looking at the little window in the top of the browser bar.....Win IE that is. I do not know about or use those other funky freebee programs. it will say "waiting for xxxxxxxx" (whatever site your are trying to talk to) with a little animated icon. (circle of death).

I have a 35+M hookup speed and if things are not there immediately, I know it is either the net itself or the site is having problems......NOT me!

It is highly unlikely it is EVER your computer! (unless you forgot to wind it up! HA....ha)

Just something to help you troubleshoot slow sites.

Same problems here. LONG time to make connection. . . half the time I get a "timed out" message and have to start over.

I'm on the Big Mac (new Apple iMac that runs at space shuttle speeds) and FIOS. Other internet pages are fine.

Willie is working on the problems. He DOES have a real job, so can't plug away at it all day. Yes, it is an inconvenience, but put up with it for a few days. It seems the easiest way to deal with it is to open several browsers, and keep one jump ahead on each one.

Yes, I'm having problems too. At first it took too long to go anywhere on the site so I gave up. Now It seems I can read everyone's responses but when I try and post I either can't or it comes through twice or something. Oh well. I'm sure it will get fixed in the end.

Its being a gremlin. Our \tmp drive fills up and dont allow the forums to store anymore information. So when people try to access our forums theres no temporary resources so it runs very slow or tosses a database error. No worries. I will win the battle

I wasn't able to get on with IE but Google Chrome works. I have managed to get on before using a free proxy server out of Canada, but not this time.

Hold on Newcaster. This is a very rare occurrence. We have had some issues the last few days but this site is rarely down. I mean almost never.

Technology doesn't care if we like it or not, it does what it does.

Seriously I do love this site and I spend a ton of time on here everyday. I do not even visit any other reloading or firearm related sights this is the only one I visit. It is full of great information that I do not have to reiterate to all of you. It has been a nightmare for me the past few weeks. Sometimes I only have 15 minutes to get on and respond to pm's or threads I am following or trying to comment on. Lately I have had to give up after 20 minutes of getting kicked off and rebooting my PC so forgive me if in frustration I have a thought to start trolling somewhere else, my heart is with Cast Boolits and will always be. Thanks for your help. This morning so far so good.

Site seems fine in the morning and daytime then it goes wonky around 5 PM. I find it gets better around 9 PM.

If your problem has covered several weeks, it is your computer, not this site. The problems here have only been the last few days.

Well I have to say it has been much better today, I haven't had any issues. I didn't mess with my computers or anything so I guess it's not that. I do have to say thank you to you guys working on this problem you are doing a good job. I'm not going anywhere I love this site. That's why when I can't access it I go bonkers.
