Dogs just don't live long enough, dadgummit! It's not fair that we have to say goodbye to them, then get our heart broken again with another one. Yeah, just don't get another, well I can't live without a canine buddy! My GR is 10 Y.O., it will be sooner than I want to let him go. hang in there, you'll see him again at the rainbow bridge.

Thoughts are with you. Never easy just is not.

We lost two older dogs in the last two weeks. They were outside dogs and well still funny not hearing them bark anymore, they always said Hi in there own way.

Awww, I love labs, sorry to hear your buddy passed on

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Tucker, I just buried my old Blue Belle Tuesday...... the one in my avatar. I know they are playing together now. And Mary, will you stop making me cry with those post! We know when we get them we will have them for only a short while.... but it's all worth it. Tuckerdog, You know I'm with on this one..... I can still smile about all the things we did together.

Tucker, Im also sorry to hear about you loosing your best friend. They say time heals all, but then it seems that time slows way down !
We just had to put down my MIL's 14-15 black lab because of her health. She was a good dog from day 1. Then a few weeks later she had a heart attack and passed away a week later. I think loosing her dog just left her empty. At 88yrs old she took this one pretty hard. She has had many dogs in all those years. This one was truly her best and couldn't live with out her.
God bless all of them. They are all happy now and living again with the lord.
