I played with the mix ratio to figure out how to make pink.

You really have to shake it up thoroughly. That mix shown makes what I would call hot pink. Just a dash more white gives you light pink to salmon. More red & its just red.

I just ordered and baked off some pinkuns for my daughter. Never thought to mix red and white. Excellent

THE 270 boolits show a variation of red to pink. The 45 looks hot pink in person, just a little red on camera though. Hope this helps those that asked about the ratio.

I like a guy in touch with his feminine side.....

At least I will know your bullets when I dig them from the berm

Lol, the things we do for the women.

You won't find any of these out there yet. Probably late January after the last deer season closes I will be testing them in everything.

What are the ratios? Next try mixing red, and yellow for a good orange. I think I have one, but haven't cooked it yet.

That looks like about 1/3 white/red, right?

I changed my gun from gloss black to candy lime green but only dumped out the jug, didn't wipe it clean. That small amount of remaining black swamped the 1" of green and made black boolits with an eerie sheen. A bit less black and they would look like Japanese beetles.

Orange is on the list. Was it just 50/50?

The bottom pic in the first post has markers at the powder level used. The red is about 1/4" above the start of the jug angle. The white is an 1/4" below the angled part of the jug. I will weight them when I get a chance.

My wife hates pink with a passion. I had to get her turquoise! Looks real nice in nickel cases, too.

Eventually I'd like to order blue. With blue & the hf colors you could make any color in any tint.

I'd like to see some pics of the turquoise, & others attempts at making colors also.

I made some that look like glazed brick. It's candy-apple, Ford blue, HF red and Lagoon green all mixed. But they won't shoot like baked clay... these are 90% pure lead. They're gonna make 'shrooms! ;)

I am gonna order some white next time from HF though, for mixing with my red. I wanna make some pink 125gr HPs for the wife's snubby.

Gives a new meaning to hit you like a ton of bricks. I like the color!

If you got a weight on eack color we could make as much or as little as we needed.;)

The weights come to 7.53 ounces of red & 12.73 ounces of white for hot pink. Shake well

Tried the dry tumble method..Ugly, but it will work.

So, roughly 40% Red with 60% White for the Pink color by weight. I'm going to try the mix by volume (should be close as I suspect each powder will weigh approx. the same). Mine should be here this week.
Thanks for the post.

Beagle those look stellar.

Those orange ones look good to me, I'm gunna give that method a try soon.

I'm curious what the pre made pink looks like in powder form compared to what I've made. That color sure seems to change drastically when baked. It was deceiving trying to get it right.

I'm going to remove the goofy different thread having powder cup cap from my hf gun & install one of the standard caps that comes on the hf pc. That way i can use the empties for mixing & storing the custom colors. For better or worse it will be done. Someone played a dumb joke having the threads different.

Try the small deli meat plastic (or tupperware type) boxes for storing powder. Clean & dry of course. I use them to dry PC coat and they don't leak. You can use a tablespoon to transfer to your PC gun jug without making a mess. I'm also using them to store rifle boolits - you can see what's there and they will hold a couple hundred 30/30 coated boolits. Easy to pick up the boolits when loading, right from the box - and they stack real good too.

Daughter has a thing for boolit fashion...brass and pink is unacceptable, so nickel it is!

Yes, 40's. I actually had to shoot pink with her at last match. My plated were loaded a little long for my new 40 SS mags.

All a part of being a good dad. Or maybe showing that "real men shoot pink boolits" :D
