Anybody know where some might be found? I've looked all over (my realm of awareness). Nada.

Not that I have one, so I haven't been specifically looking; but I don't remember seeing .17 Ackley Bee brass for sale anywhere.

Have you looked for .218 Bee brass to neck down? This might actually require a set of forming dies, I don't know for sure.

In theory, you could even start with .25-20 or .32-20 Winchester brass; but after losing 7-8% when going to .25-20 from .32-20 I think you would be lucky to get even 50% necked down successfully.

You probably already know this, but Buffalo Arms or Huntingtons are a couple of places to check for off the wall brass.

I don't believe anyone has headstamped the Ackley version.

In the past I have seen ready formed 17 Bee for sale on GB, There are places that sell wierd, rare brass too. The ones I've checked were out of stock (quite a few places). Brownell's seems to stock Nosler brass in this caliber, but it could be a website mess up.

I made mine out of 218 brass. Form, load, fire form, trim and go. This was for a Bullberry barrel for my Contender. It is a sweet shooter when loaded with Berger bullets. I don't remember if 32-20 will work or not. I never tried it. I bought some 32-20 for a 30-20 barrel on Gunbroker the other day.Hope this help, Mike
