Yes it's been a sad day here, my good friend Dick passed on this morning.
He had been batting Diabetes and a weakening heart for a while now. He was on a dialyzes machine two times a week. Needless to say his wife Pat is beside herself, they were married a very long time.
He was 73 Years old, an army vet from the 60,s and a Deputy sheriff from Fl. He lived in Rumford Maine and I like this man a whole lot. A good Christian Man with a solid belief system.
A true friend that always had good to say and didn't complain to much about anything.
The last few years we spent mostly talking, drinking coffee and sitting on the couch in my camp when he would visit. I don't have any folks that visit me here and I always looked forward to his visits and the time we shared together. Thank you men for letting me post something like this.
It made me feel better.

Sam

Please rest in piece my friend, I will miss you greatly.
Your friend Sam

I'm very sorry for your loss.

Too many good men dying and too few good men being raised to replace them. Not that there could be a replacement for your friend (that's not what I mean )

Sam, I'm not good with words, never say the right thing often the wrong thing. We miss friends and relatives when they leave us, sorrow stays with some for a long time. Be sure of this; I will pray for Dicks soul. and you that the healing of time will come soon.

Sorry to hear of your friend passing, and your loss, Good friends are hard to find and are to be treasured once found.

Here in the small town I live in (3,000 pop) there is a Deputy that stops in now & then in the summer months to visit & I consider him a good friend as well. In his case he usually stays till he gets a call, could be 5/10 minutes, could be an hour or more, good times.

Sam, I must reiterate what jcwit said. "Good friends are hard to find", and add, while you treasured him and his company while he was here, now that he's moved on he would be very pleased that you think of him often and treasure his memory.

My sympathy for your loss.

I am truly very sorry to hear of your loss. Good friends are hard to come by and are far and few in between. I lost my good friend "only friend" a couple years ago. I can count the number of good friends that I've had through life on the fingers of one hand and have fingers left over.
Some say that they have lots of friends. I say they don't know what a true friend is. They may have lots of buddies, so do I.
The best definition I've heard describing the difference between a buddy and a friend is, a buddy is someone you can call to come help you move. A friend is someone you can call to come help you move a body.

R.I.P. for your friend Sam,

Sam
