Howdy folks,

The first and second grade students at a Christian school in Alaska that my own kids attend are learning geography by collecting "State Postcards" from various states / countries of the world. Friends and relatives have been mailing postcards to the school for several weeks now, and they get organized on a wall in the hallway with string pointing to their locations on a map on the wall...

They are missing cards from quite a few eastern states, so I thought it would be fun to invite my friends on CastBoolits to participate. I would get a kick out of hearing that our school was flooded with cards from various states and countries sent in by patriotic, freedom-loving folks. If you are interested, you can mail postcards to:

Amazing Grace Academy
1,2 Grade Class
PO Box 777
Palmer, AK 99645

Thanks!

Last I heard it was a SMALL suburb of Sidney.:kidding:

Lol. Thanks! I think they'd get an even bigger kick from getting cards outside the US. They have a couple from Germany, I believe... New Zealand and elsewhere would be awesome! Neat to see CastBoolits respond worldwide.

Yeah, but I know they have lines of cards for some states, so a few more from any state wouldn't hurt! It's the widespread support that I think would be valuable for the kids and school... :-)

All Anchorage and most Mat-Su schools were closed today ("freezing rain") -- but I have a meeting there this evening (if that doesn't get cancelled). I'll check the board and see what states they are missing.

I'll be sending some from the Sierra Nevada mountains in the winter. The school won't get bent out of shape if there are Marines on the post cards will they?

There are days when I think we would be better off as such.

Thanks, folks. You are awesome! Military is good (my wife is Air Force). :-) Send 'em on!

Got a list of missing states. So far, no cards from:

Connecticut
Delaware
Indiana
Iowa
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maine
Massachusetts
Mississippi
Montana
Nebraska
New Jersey
North Dakota
Oklahoma
Pennsylvania
Rhode Island
Utah
Vermont
West Virginia

And of course they'd love adding more cards from places not listed above. And overseas is poorly represented now, too. Thanks again! Can't wait to hear the school secretary talk about her trip from the post office...
