Should I use a .310 or .311 sizing die if I'm using the C312-155-2R mold out of .300AAC with Noveske barrel and 100% wheel weight?

Load 10 of each and see which one is better.

I assume you know the noveske is polygonal rifled. Your best course of action is to test both in your gun. I use .310 in all my .300blk guns. I've never fired lead in polygonal. Someone else may chime in.

I'd use a .31375 sizing die by Lystar Precision and lube with Lubrizol 55H.2v660.

Jupiter7- The barrel has standard rifling.

Can you not just slug this sort of barrel??? I would think that would tell you what sizer you need... You need to know anyway to shoot cast in my opinion...

Is that the English one or the metric one?

It's the Polish-Bolivian one as read on the New Guinea internet site during a flight to Iceland.

I size mine .310 with success but I have a different barrel. Test both, its fun.

He is and I don't blame him, did you read his other post. I fear for some of the new people.
I hope no one ask "how do I blow my nose."

We have 2 uppers in the family. It seems mine has a tighter chamber than my sons and on occasion I will have issues with rounds with boolits sized .311, the sons doesn't. Both feed boolits sized .309 and do not lead in our uppers.

I'm sure the issue would go away with reamed brass.

I had the same experience as Moonie in that I had issues with blown primers caused by a tight chamber and thicker brass. I use only LC brass to create 300blk cases and size to .310 as this produces a consistent cartridge. The C312-155-2R boolit works very well but I switched to the NOE 316-155G-FN sized to .310 for my 2 rifles. The 4 cavities allow a better production rate and the bore riding of this boolit improved accuracy. The added advantage is that the meplat improved the hitting power on the hogs I hunt.

The problem I've run into is the nose of the boolit. Several designs, including the lee 155, have to be seated deep enough so they don't jam in the rifling. Sizing the bands smaller will not help this issue.

Fishman, what manufacturers barrel do you have? Both of my rifles have a generous leade and none of my loads touch the rifling. The HBAR is from Sota Arms and the skinny is the AR-Stoner from Midway.

I have also used my loads through a Noveske 10.5" without any issues.

Mine is an early Diamondback firearms before they started selling at Walmart. My email exchanges with their rather arrogant web rep lead me to understand that it was a barrel made "in house". I couldn't get much more out of him. I bought when everything ar15 was unobtainable so I went with what was available. It xoes seem well made and a tight chamber isn't all bad. serious accuracy work is yet to come but one deer is already in the freezer.

Thanks for the details on your setup.

You could slug the bore. But even I did slug the bore I would test both sizes in a particular alloy/loading to see which shot best. Since I would test both anyways, there would really be no need for me to slug the bore.
