Who is the one going around and rating dang near EVERY thread with a poor rating? Just to let you know, but I have been rating every thread that is rated poor as rated excellent to make them all 3 star threads.

I noticed a seller's thread rated poorly and for sure there was no good reason, so I did the same thing and got it to a four. I am sure it was a competitor who will remain nameless, but the name would be no surprise. Is this a recent trend? As my prime suspect was "unavailable" until recently.

I rarely look at the stars rating but I just now looked at several in a few different forums and didn't see any 1 star ratings. But dang, it would only let me vote once in this thread.

It appears as if it is a current trend. We went from minimal thread rating, to massive thread rating in the last month or so. Especially in Our Town...

Last thing I rated was my second wife. Never rated a thread before

I don't ever rate threads. Heck, I don't even look at the ratings. Makes me a one star rater I suppose.

I suppose this was bound to happen sooner or rater......

I noticed several threads I was interested in had 1 star ratings. Kind of wondered why someone was doing it, but ignored it and read them anyway. Does the thread rating system do anything here?

Some people have nothing better to do so they rate threads.

Starmac, it starts with a large cloud of gas which condenses together due to gravity. At some point the pressure and heat internally becomes high enough to set off a fusion reaction. This gives off heat and light, a star is born.

That is what you meant, wasn't it?

..."HAW! I am now a rater!"

Now I am too. I am slow I admit. I didn't know how and didn't even know such a thing existed until now. In fact I really didn't care. I scan the various topics and some appeal to me and some don't. I don't figure anyone cares what I think of a thread. Any way I rated this at five stars because I think it deserves it!

The stars you see that originate in flatulence are the ones that appear right after you produce a quiet but deadly when you are walking close to your wife and people around start to look at her!!!

Ratings are over rated as the rating system is subjectively rated.

All the really best rated are in the stickies anyway.

If I notice how a thread is rated, it's accidental. I certainly don't let it influence my own estimation of the topic, or what people have to say about it.
