I made a ~40# batch of lead/lino (33#/8.5#) yesterday. It made some really pretty 429421's out of my Lyman two-cavity mould. They weigh about 246 grains as dropped and are about 0.430". I am sizing to 0.429" and lubing with White's Carnuaba Red using a Lyman 450.

I do not have a hardness tester. What would be your hardness estimate for this alloy?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think it may be harder than that, say 16 - 18....

If you go over to Lead and lead alloy's section and then go down the stickys about half way, you will find a sticky callled Lead alloy calculator. You can down load this and plug in all the numbers you want.

or you can just click on this: http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?105952-Lead-alloy-calculators
