I did minimal polishing on the trigger/hammer contact surfaces on my GP100 and SRH and it made a huge difference. Well, that and lots of shooting. A few thousand rounds makes a big difference.

It helped me a lot, it was easy and it was fun. Got err back togeather the first try.

They are amazingly easy to tear down. I remove the crane from the cylinder once a year or so for a complete cleaning and relube.

That site does give very complete instructions and has great photos. If you mess up with that much help you need to sell the gun.
