Good year for me

I didn't want to step on White Eagle's tailfeathers.
I finally used my SRH for my first deer. I have been carrying it for 4 years and this was the first time I pulled the trigger on a deer with it.
The deer wasn't a trophy except to me. Besides I'm getting too old to be dragging any more weight than I have to.

Our firearms season begins next week and there's a special three day segment on Fort Riley starting tomorrow. You may not think that's a trophy, but I'll call one like that a shooter if he comes by.

Nice job. One of these days, I'll get one with a handgun. I have six guns that will do it and I'm a good enough shot to get it done, it just never has come together for me yet.

Looks like a trophy to me. I have a number of antlers just like them hanging on the wall. Each is unique and tells a story and reminds me of that experience.

First off, Congratulations Sir!! To keep going out there season after season tells me everything I need to know.

Now then. It makes me ILL whenever I see a hunter run down their kill. You pursued and harvested a legal animal. To have put in 4 years and then to have taken it is all the "Trophy" you need. Horns are nice, horns are fun to put on the wall, horns are gratifying. BUT!! Horns don't fill the skillet and the dehydrator!

You've got another memory to savor and that rack is just fine. And besides that, congrats on the chocolate rack, maybe I will take one someday,,,,,
