Bird hunting

I went down to Las Cruces and the Florida mountains in Southern New Mexico over the weekend to quail hunt.

The quail population is decimated due to the long term drought. I only jumped two coveys and didn't get any but had a great time.

We got two good points one from Addie, the one year old GSP. Also had a close call with a rattlesnake.

The pups had a blast. Here they are cooling off in a stock tank.

Great Pic, Crawdaddy! I'll be heading to Roswell for Thanksgiving. Might take the scenic route through the Oscuros and the Sacramentos.

I sure love those GSP's ... they are beautiful dogs. I lost my last one about 1 year and a half ago and I still miss him something awful ...
