Throw a bloody 'roo (kangaroo) on the grill, eh wot... Or should that be a wallaby?

Definitely not a wallaby. Roos are often shot on permit, if they are causing a nuisance, but AFAIK wallabies are totally protected. Incidentally roos are not exactly sought after as an alternative to fillet steak, but are usually considered edible if you like game meat.

This is a good post.

I hope several of you fellows can get together. It's always a good time when folks who have something in common get together. Especially shooters.

It's a wonderful fraternity and a fine resource when casting and loading questions come up. And after the shooting is over...:drinks:

.............Is it a right hand or left hand twist that works better south of the bulge? :-) Or does it depend on if you're shooting northerly or southerly?

Yeah you guys could have a Nevada Cast Lead Boolit Shoot too kind of, only in Australia and you'd probably want to delete the Nevada part, but you could think of something. Then you could write it up here and post pictures and we could all wish we were there.

I just did a head count check on Aussie board members. We've got 33 listed. Not all contribute, but at least took the time to join the club. 3 NZ kids on board too....Geo

Sunny South East of South Australia, where it supposedly rains 360 days of the year and drips off the trees for the rest.

Several other boolit casters in this area but can't get them to sign on; I'll keep trying.

I went out to the MGPC and met up with Redgum; it turns out our paths have crossed before.

Unfortunately he didn't have any 'roo ready for lunch. Too bad, maybe next time.

Kirby; yep, I should be there! Altho there is a rumour around that someone very close to me turns the big 50 on the 23rd and is partying on the 24th.
Anway, you can't miss me as I'll be the biggest John there.

I'll second the motion. Why don't we organise a downunder cast boolit shoot? If we come up with a format, target verification and scoring system, it should not be too difficult.

I could possibly find time to do the scoring and have P.O. Box address available.

John.
