From my sister in law:

Thank you all for your kind words of condolence and your support.

There has been a lot of local Dallas coverage of the death and life of my nephew Alex and I wanted to share a few links if you would like to read them. Our nephew, Charlie, who is in the Air Force, was able to accompany Alex from Dover AFB to Dallas. He is one of the carry team in the second clip.

Alex was a great kid and we are going to miss him terribly. This is so sad!

No matter what one’s views are on our being in Afghanistan, Alex wanted to serve his country and do what he could to prevent a 9/11 situation from ever happening again.

Please keep my sister and her family in your prayers. Thank you.

I have heard that our flag waves not from the breeze but from the last breath exhaled by our fallen soldiers, sailors and airmen. Today, I noticed my flag pointing south west but the breeze was from the west, hmmm. My sincerest condolences and may His Grace and Peace be with you in this difficult time.

If you can find it in your heart please say a prayer today for Alex's family. They're struggling mightily with the anniversary of his loss. Some men pay a much steeper price than others in the cause of liberty.

I can not relate since I have lost noone so close, but I can express my heartfelt thanks to him for his sacrifice and how one man does not forget those whom fight and defend our freedom. I hope and pray that the family is comforted during this time of pain and suffering. God bless you all and all our service men and women that so many take for granted.
