My oldest daughter was about 4 when I used to shoot skeet. She would watch me reload 12 ga skeet loads. One day I asked if she wanted to load a few, and she said yes. Well, I taught her how to reload shotgun shells, and I would let her load a few every once in a while. Basically, kept her natural curiosity satisfied, and she knew she couldn't do it alone. She simply didn't have the strength to deprime a shell. At any rate, it became obvious to me that she knew and understood the process. I no longer shoot skeet, but I did take the time to teach my granddaughters, too.

Life doesn't get much better than that. Your nephew will always remember you for it. I hope the future holds a lot more good times for you both.
