View Full Version : Pan lubing- Time saving tip inside for 30 caliber boolit makers

I picked these empty 9mm Tula boxes up last time I was out desert shooting. I was going to use them to store some of my reloads, but found a better use for them.

Put two in a silicone baking pan, put a board underneath everything and flip it over:

It takes a heck of a lot less time to stack these guys this way vs doing it by hand. :mrgreen:

Or, if your lube pan is shallow enough, lay a piece of hardware cloth over it and set the boolits in. Keeps them from tipping too.

I use plastic trays to arrange boolits for powder coating. I skip a hole in the trays to give more room between boolits for the PC to evenly coat. Great idea for pan lubing too!

I do the same kind of thing with cast .22's - pull out the plastic insert from a box of CCI minimags and use it as a spacer for the pan. Goes alot quicker and prevents accidental knockdowns until the wax is poured...
