stick on wheel weights for slugging a barrel on a pistol/revovler

I have tried to slug my barrel 2 or 3 times and have not been satisfied with the results if i cast a bullet with stick-on wheel weight lead is it soft enough to drive through or how about some lead muzzle loader balls ? i got one sizer but want to size my bullets right .

Should work fine, and a slightly over bore size muzzle loader ball is ideal. I wouldn't bother using the sizer unless the ball is significantly larger than the bore, say 10 though or more.

Yes, just cast 3 or 4 examples from your mould with the soft lead. I like to expand them slightly by hitting them on the nose with my brass hammer and bumping them up a few thousandths. Lube generously and tap one through.

I bump them up a little and drill a small hole down the center to give them some relief. Makes them go thru a lot easer.

When I slugged my .30 cal rifles, I made my own slugs by drilling three or four 5/16" diameter holes in a piece of hardwood, about 3/4" deep, with a sharp bradpoint drill, and almost filling the cavities with plumber's lead. The resulting slugs miked around .314". I did take a file and kinda tapered one end, to facilitate entry. Worked very well.

Stick-on weights are what I've used for slugging for years. Just choose a mold to cast with that will cast large enough and your good to go. Clean & oil the bore before slugging.

I have some empty 9mm,45acp and 32acp brass that I use to make slugs. Leave the FIRED primers in and pour them full of soww. Then I use my kinetic bullet pulled to knock the lead out.

I think i will try this should give me a good long slug do i need to lube the case so it will come out or does it just poop out with the kinetic puller

just pops out. may have a little nob on one end due to the primer hole. make sure the case is on a stable surface and held with something to prevent it from tipping. like a pliers. be careful with first pour. any unburned powder or residue may introduce you to the tinsel fairy. wear safety gear
