Plan to try the 200 grain 35 caliber in 1:16 357 Max barrel.

Planned velocity is 1500 - 1750 fps.

Boolit is 0.975" long.

Stable?

How far?

Don't know that I can specifically answer your question but My 35 Remingtons have the same twist and thus far seem to shoot that bullet well. My mold is from the NOE group buy here.
Good Luck with it,
Rick

I've launched a 200 gr wfn from a 357 mag revolver at 1200 fps 1-16" barrel and it is plenty stable. As far as how far the bullet would be stable when launched at 1500-1700 fps, I'd venture to say it would be stable well past 500 yds. As far as velocity, my 10" 357 max contender with a max charge of AA 1680 was clocking 1950 fps.

My. 35/.30-30 relined 1894 Winchester has a 1:16" twist and I am shooting a 260-grain LBT plainbased WFN which is .895" long, which is both accurate and stable, subsonic at 1050 fps using 8 grains of Bullseye pistol powder. Barrel length is 20".

I shoot 273 gr FN's (1.13" in length) in 1:16 twist 350 Rem Mags at 1,500 ish they are stable and group well at 170 yds. 15" XP-100R, 20" M SEVEN to a 22" 673.
From my experiences I would say you would be definitely stabilized at practical and useful ranges.
