Just wanted to take a minute to share this with everyone. It may have been covered in the past but here goes anyway.

Yesterday I was setting up a new to me RCBS sizer with a homemade heater and I remembered what I had to do with my Lyman to get good heat transfer. First I scraped all of the paint from the bottom of the sizer as paint is not a good conductor of heat. Before I mounted it I used a product we use in the electronics repair field to aide in heat transfer called heat sink grease. It is a silicone grease with zinc oxide mixed into it. It allows a more intimate contact between the two surfaces by filling all of the small scratches and imperfections. You can pick up a small tube at Radio Shack and it is enough for at least 2 applications like this.

Hope this helps someone out.

That's a great idea, never thought to use it for that. I have some left over when I replaced the diodes on my battery charger.

Thank you, Mike
