From Lyman 41032 , I made a couple hundred of these the other day.

They are almost straight wheel weights & fell from the mold at 215 gr and .4134 diameter.

My question is , would they fall from the mold at a bit smaller diameter if I went to a 50-50 wheel weight-pure lead alloy ?

They look great.
I hope they shoot good for you.

I have two 41 magnums , a Dan Wesson revolver and a 14" Contender , if they don't shoot good in one maybe they will shoot good in the other.

adding more lead will make them a bit smaller and softer.

Excellent quality. Now introduce them to Mr. Target, where they will be measured.

They look much better than my first batch. The base is filled out and look look they should shoot just fine. Now enjoy them.

Look good for a first shot.

The best thing I did to get those molds to fill out and cast good boolits quickly is to pick up a small ceramic laboratory hot plate. I warm my mold I'm going to use prior to molding (and during). Some set the mold on top of the pot, everyone has some trick, but, that little hotplate is great. Also nice for melting your own loobs and mine will go hot enough to niter blue. Handy...

Yeah , I set the mold on top of the pot , I also added a little flea market pewter to the wheel weights
