I am asking this because as most of you know my husband Bill Whitney passed away last Sat.. Due to the fact that he is no longer with us I need some info on selling his tree stand, tons of hunting clothes, hip waders, Muk boots, and he also has a ton of reloading stuff. I need to sell some of it, due to the fact that it could be months before we get any insurance money, they stopped our retirement and VA benefits. So I am down to 1 income mine, and since we have had 3 deaths in the family in the last 6 months the savings is gone. Please if someone could tell me about the pricing of this stuff and not try to rip me off I would be forever grateful. But will still need to sell some other things. If you can help or would like to buy anything please contact me at 931-249-6446 or my email at amwhitn@hotmail.com.

Thank You, Alice Whitney

Alice I hope the best for you. I will volunteer to come help you move this stuff out if nobody else closer to you is available. You're about 600 miles due west of me. I hope that someone would be willing to come help for a few days that is near by but please, if you feel that you need assistance, know that I for one will leave with an hours notice.

"If you are willing to ship the powder or primers I would also likely be interested in the following but I'm in upstate NY so they would have to be shipped."

That has to be a face to face transaction. Let's not put this dear lady in a situation involving serious criminal jeopardy. Those involved should err on the side of generosity.

J mortimer.. on shipping said items. can the lady charge shipping & has-mat fees through UPS or FEDx? and then ship items?

runfiverun
10-29-2013, 04:50 PM
kinda, you have to deliver haz-mat stuff to the ups shipping hub [not the little store] the big hub.
I don't know if the rules have changed or not and the shipper might have to be haz-mat certified. [I know the carrier/driver does]
I would say the powder/primers would really need to be a face to face to make things simple.

I would hope someone that "knows" the laws on shipping primers and particularly Powder steps up and explain them to this young lady. She doesn't need any more problems.

As I understand it, there is no way for a "civilian" to ship powder or primers. I did quite a bit of investigation/research and sadly, these have to be done face to face. I just don't want any trouble for anyone involved.

Powder and primers can be shipped with the appropriate labelling and fees. There is no criminal intent involved or implied. Thank you for your concern.
