Enjoyed it. Now if you can just figure out how to actually do your forum name.

Conceptually, lead to gold is extremely simple. Add 36 protons and 36 electrons and you're there.
That's the science. :bigsmyl2:

The engineering part where you have to figure out HOW TO DO IT is pretty tough. So far nobody
has made any that way, as far as I know. But it's not like we don't know what we need to do. ;-)

So, my Venezuelan proton mine stock is worthless after all? Bummer.

Just hang onto your dilithium crystals stock!

Hate to disagree with MtGun44 but I believe Physists have figured out how to change lead into gold. They just can't do it cheaply. Not sure of the price differential but from memory it was substantial. Much cheaper to explore and find it and dig it out of the ground than start adding electrons and protrons to lead. besides EPA says we can no longer refine lead. Maybe we should remove electrons and protrons and turn gold into lead.

Well, I never thought this thread would transform into a discussion over theoretical alchemy..........
To settle the question, no, I have not been able to transform lead into gold, yet. I just need a larger hammer to pound those 36 electrons and protons into the ingot. When I get that sorted out I will do a write up and the management here can decide if it will get a sticky.
