I went to Wickenburg, AZ gun show today. I didn't have near enough to be gun shopping so I was looking for stuff. I found a Lyman 358429 that looked like it had never been used and a RCBS Lube-a-Matic including a .459 die.

Nice job. Never seem to find used casting stuff at gun shows.

That was the mold :)

120 for everything. The sizer looks like it was not used very much.

$120 for everything is still a pretty good deal. Not the best I have heard of, but not bad.

What does the A on the mold mean?

Looks like it's got older more square lube grooves. Nice find! Last gun show I went to I got some great deals on brass but didn't find a single bit of casting equipment, save for one extremely old Lee .32 mold (that I already had). I love looking around fun shows even if I don't buy- the people watching can't be beat.

Guns tend to be overpriced but components, tools, and scopes are often very reasonable, at least around here.

I'm not sure what the A means. But it is a square lube groove and equal width driving bands. Looking forward to trying them out.

I don't know what the A is either, but I had that same mold at one time and it shot very good. Not sure if it is this bullet, but one of them has a nose that is too long for a 357 S&W 28/29. Either have to trim the cases shorter or crimp over the front driving band. Just something to watch for.
You did good since a Lyman mold is around $80 and the luber/sizer is around $150 to $160 IIRC.

Good job! I'm thinking about adding a second sizer, would like to keep SPG in one and one of the pretty red or blue lubes in the other. May have to start going to gun shows again. Seems I have plenty of 38's around here that will eventually need feeding if I ever run out of swaged match bullets. ;-)

I'm with you, I picked it up because my Lyman 450 is leaking out the bottom. Once I rebuild it I'll probably set it up with SPG and try some BP loads in my lever guns. I just ordered some Carnauba Red to break in the RCBS.

Those are good finds. I too would like to add another RCBS LAM to run another lube without cleaning.

Great job on the stuff, but ... I LOVE your table!

Those are nice finds. The 358429 is a sweet bullet, I hope it drops nice fatties for you. That was the first handgun mold I bought brand new many moons ago, .3605 is all I can get out of mine but I'm happy it will do that

They're miking almost .362, and weigh an avg of 168.2 gr unlubed. This from ww with a bit of lead free solder thrown in.
