Hi Guy's and Gal's
I been reloading for a lot of years, rifle, handgun, shotguns. And I allways have had loading manual's to go by, and allways go buy the book?
Where I need help is, I bought the wife a 380 KelTec, and she shoots fair. So I bought dies and brass to load. I don't think I have shot 50 boxes of new ammo in the 32 years I have been reloading. I have done a lot of looking today for data, and I need help, PLEASE!
I have some cast 115 grain rn, and some 115 grain JHP, and some 125 grain JRN & JHP, I need to load with, Red Dot, Unquie, 571 ball, 700x, 800x, 231, 296. i dont have much of the Winchester power, but a good amount of the other, I need to keep the pressure down and also try to keep the recoil as low as I can, is is only 5 foot tall, and weighs 119.
I sure would be great full for any and aLL help!
Thanks Greg

What the 380 needs is a FN 85 gr boolit design. I'd buy a mould for sure.

You are right! I didn't think I would ever own a 380, but that is what fit my wife's hand the best, she is only a size 6, not very big.
Thanks Again
For all the advice that everyone has given me!

Couple of suggestions. My youngest daughter is 5 foot zero inches tall and weighs 105 pounds. She has very small hands. She carries a Kimber ProCarry. The 1911 (I put in a short trigger) is actually one of the best guns for people with small hands, and she shoots it very well.

Another good option are the Kahr compacts. I have a PM9 and that's a nice small gun that fits in a pocket and carries 8 rounds of 9mm. The double action trigger is smooth and light, pretty easy to shoot, very reliable. I carry it in the summer if I need something really small. It's not a fun "range gun" because it's so small and light even 9mm has quite a snap to it, but it's a good self defense gun.

If all else fails, a J frame or small revolver may fit her also.

Just concerned about that 380, it may discourage someone but it probably ain't gonna stop them.

The old Speer manuals used to list some downright snappy loads for 100 and 125 grainers using Blue Dot in the .380. My old Sterling liked the LEE TL125TC with loads just below the ones that bulged the cases into the feed ramp. Don't have the data handy at the moment. Made IPSC minor power factor but REAL warm.

I have been loading 380 for some time and have some good loads for it. I suggest a TC design CB for it. I have an NEI that casts 112 gr and does real well in my KelTec with 231. Also have a speer 88 JHP with BlueDot that sizzles.
