Hey there those from Wright Patterson AFB and Hill AFB.

I am down here at Robins AFB. We are hearing that we are #3 for the three AFMC bases on safety, union complaints and such. We hear that if there is an upcomming BRAC, we may be doomed. Do you folks hear anything about Robins reputation? Is it good, or bad?

Another member and I wonder what our chances are for Robins. What is going on out there.

I work on an ACC base, and have been through all the BRACs since the first one. I say your future depends more on political horse trading and log rolling than any particular virtue your base may or may not have. If you don't believe me, just ask the guys at Mather, George, MacClellan, March, and Norton.

Democrats?? Really? Seems every time one of these closures get talked about, it has nothing to do with the political party in the white house. The little Bush admin tried to close Hill or down size it two times that I remember. It is a big issue in my town when they start these closures because it is right next to it and I live about five miles from it.

I don't know why the focus is alway's on hill when a closure comes up.
the base is for fighter escorts for the KC-135's that were designated to re-fuel the
B-52's on their way to drop nukes on Russia.

I believe the OP was referring more to Ogden ALC than Hill AFB proper ...
