311332 is a good design that works especially well (like its cousin 311334) with 2 groove barrels like the O3-A3 or the 5 groove 1917 rifles which are all "bore-riders". The noses would do better/best if they were a full.300-.301, but they can and have been "bumped up" by some riflemen. When the nose is riding then it minimizes the possibility of any slumping or going cockeyed in the bore. Might fly well, but you'll know soon enough. Info is already written in the old NRA Handloading books starting with articles by Col. Harrison and another on by a rifleman named Sears. Good shooting. LLS

I have been shooting its cousin, the 311334. The first mold was a loaner and had a .300 nose, the second I found here and had a .298 nose. Only took me a few loads to realize I needed to bump the nose up on those when sizing.

Thanks fellers !, that`s exactly the line I was thinkin , hope the bit of lino lets me get it bumped up at least to 300.

If the lino. doesn't work, maybe a bit of Beagling will do the trick. Btw, I had the -334, also with an undersized nose, which I sized to .309" for my K-31's. It was fairly accurate there, but I already had better designs on hand (Saeco #315, Lee "soupcan") and sold it off. Btw, it was the only mold I owned that cast better via bottom pouring than ladle pouring.

I shoot the 311332, I have the double cavity mould, in my 06 and it can be very accurate. I discovered last spring a little pile of boolits that I shot into a snowbank last winter. They are so pristine I wa able to learn a few things about ol' 311332 and it's trip down bore. First off I noticed that the rifling engagement was not entirely even so I will go along with the bore rider section being a bit small. I started to cast a bit harder and seated the boolits out into the lands. Accuracy improved.

Like all cast boolits you may find a bit of work involved to get it to shoot it's best. I use speed green mostly for lube and my loads are more in the 1600- 1800 fps range than 2100+. SR4759 has worked extremely well for me at this velocity. If I am on my game, I can cluster the little devils very close together at 100 yards. Most often the gear can shoot better than I can!

I have a "rubber gopher on a wire frame" spinning type target that had so many 311332 put through it I have no idea how it is still holding together. It makes for a fun trip to the range for me to have some reactive targets to shoot and that one at 100 yards is a very challanging offhand shot.

Good shooting!

Would like to see Al-NOE-make both the 332/334 with correct specs the two molds I have are both out of spec.

I also would like a4/5 cavity NOE 332 the one I have is a single cavity takes a long time to make enough boolits, but it is worth while as it is a demon shooter in my K31 and a couple of .308's
