I'm new to this hard cast thing, but have been casting BP round balls for years. My question is is it ok to put some poorly cast and lubed bullets back into my pot and recycle into new casts? I used Lee alox to lube them.

The long and short answer is: Yes.

A handy tip. I recycled a pile of LLA coated boolits before. The Alox was like an oil slick on top of the melt, use sawdust when fluxing.

Good advise...I thought the Alox would just burn off easily but not so.

Alox made A great filler for me when I dumped a bunch of rejects back in. Worked great with that nice oily sheen

I would think the Alox would be a good flux,I put the wrinkles and ugly ones back in most of the time when I come across them when loading the cases some of them. I just go ahead and burn a little powder powder behind them.

Like previously mentioned there will be a lot of smoke,i do it but I only throw lubed ones in a pot that is outside in the driveway due to horrible fumes/smoke.
