This subject comes up many times . And some fill that cast bullets can not be shot threw a choked barrel . I am not the first to do it nor the last one to ever do it . Here are the two ways I have done it . I run the bullet .0005 under groove at the loading port . the barrel is choked for about 3 inches for close to .003 . With pure lead the bullet can not take the size down with out shearing lead to the base and leading the barrel at the choke . So I run my lead from 8-12 bhn which gives it the strength yet retains the pliability that it needs to take the size down at 850 fps . The second way I have done it is to run the bullet at bore diameter with a groove diameter that is .0015 larger . The bullet goes down the barrel straight because it is tight on the lands . when it hits the .003 choke it is sized and the twist kicks in .There again I use a 8-12 bhn lead to take the size down MOA accurate tested to 100 yards so far . Much like the smooth bore twist barrels . Lose of air or energy . Well if so it is not showing up at any degree . This is how my PB is set up . PB =parts bin rifle . Started out as a .177 Discovery It is now a 25 caliber PB rifle . Here is a spread sheet on it . note the energy it can put out .Marvin
