I recently acquired a new Marlin .375. I got a good deal on some brass, now, I need some load recommendations. I need a mould, too. I would prefer a plain base, but, would entertain a GC if you all think I should go that way. Obviously, I assume all the risk in using someone elses load data, but, I think I can trust you guys.:-D I have on hand, 2400, Unique, H4198, IMR4198, 4895, Red Dot, 800X, 4722 and 700X. I am willing to buy something else if needed. Thanks for the help guys.

Pumpguy,
Here are some suggestions for a .375 Win if that's the 375 you got...
Unique 7.0 to 10.0 Unique. 10.0 gives 1250fps with the Lyman 375449.
Red Dot 8.0
2400 - 18.0gr = 1525fps
There is a closed but not delivered GB for a .375 PB boolit mold. I don't know if there are any extras but you might ask...

.............There are several good moulds out there. I like the Lee but I also have the Lyman 265gr but it has a GC. My favorite boolit to use in my 1893 Marlin is the 225gr Saeco. It's a tapered FNPB and with WW alloy weighs 218grs. The base band mikes .381". Shoots like a house afire from the M93 with 16.o grs of 2400.

That mould casts 265 gr. for me ready to go, and all the 4895 you can stuff in there makes a good load - it will be in the neighborhood of 32 gr. depending on brass - somewhat compressed. I have used 32 to 35 gr. with good power, and the powder is slow enough that you probably can't get too high a pressure before that fat GC lead bullet squirts away from it. Velocity is 1800-1900 f/s.

What do you think of this mold?
