Seen earlier that we where getting a new C-note tomarrow.I hope to see lots of them.I wonder if it will make a difference? Will the bad guys just figure out another way to rip it off?I've heard of countries having the same equipment as our mints.Maybe we need to change more often. It took them 10 years for this one.I dont know.I'm just thinking out loud/.

I think we should make all of our money out of gold or silver, then it wouldnt matter if they counterfit our currency because there would be no upside to doing so.

Maybe they will get it right on the 3rd try. Did a$B or so the first 2 times that had errors. Happened to be at a siminar by the guys that developed the first with the stripe & special ink watermark. What a joke.

I hope it does not have the o's picture on it.

as far as the coins go back in the 1880's they were cutting Morgan dollars in half and scoping out the silver then soldering them back together. now with the technology today that would be much easier.

That would be some funny stuff right there!I never liked the hundred anyway.I always prefered Grants face over Bens.If I have 2 Grants rather than the 1 Cnote I;m happy .Always easier to change around here.I would crack up if they had 'os face on that thing.

I think I like Woodrow Wilson's portrait best. I'll take a few of those....

Now that's a shocking and nauseating idea. I would never accept another one, I would take the hundred dollars in pennies before I would put that in my pocket.

Until our recent election I was worried the socialists would make banana skins legal tender, but the jury is still out though.

It's getting so a hundred dollar bill doesn't buy much anymore. The govenment gets mad when someone counterfeits money. They don't like competition when they are ripping us off.

I got a friend that has been socking away a bunch of cash in hundred dollar bills waiting for the "banks to fail" for about 4 or 5 years...he's now scared to death that the government will do what some governments have done and "call in" all the existing money to swap out for the "new currency" and he'll be "uncovered" and then the government will devalue the dollar and he'll lose everything...me? I'm old enough it just doesn't matter and I'm buying what I want (guns, car, etc) to just enjoy for the few years I've got left...Maybe the mint will be part of the 'shutdown" and nothing will get printed until all the ink dries up...oh my.

They were only used for bank business IIRC, they were never a common issue item, same thing for 10,000 and 1000 denominations.

ummm "O's face??? That would be some high priced toilet paper!"

at the rate their printing funny money it aint worth much more than that now ....

but this is scary "I got a friend that has been socking away a bunch of cash in hundred dollar bills waiting for the "banks to fail" for about 4 or 5 years..." banks go belly up and the fed's fiat money looses all value the above comment about t.p. surely applies ...tangible assets never involve paper money , at least those that survive thru times like war torn germany ( where a wheelbarrow full wouldnt buy a loaf of bread ) or the c.s.a. ... a 150 years later that paper is finally worth a lil bit but as far as big bills go they still dont break even , silver lead gold even copper or in today's current trends .22 lr ammo ( just think had he bought $10 grand worth at $.50 a box 20 years ago today he'd own the mint !!!

The largest I ever saw while working at a bank during college, was a one thousand dollar bill. One of our female customers collected them and we would save them for her.
