Project 6 months in the making starting with a Boyds thumbhole blank - did most of the layout and inletting the first week, then let it sit for 5+ months while I figured out how to cut a decent barrel channel with limited tools. I finally broke down and set up a small router table and made a custom guide to cradle the stock square to the fence. Not sure if I'll keep the glossy Truoil finish, but it sure shoots nice with the high comb now. The original stock looks like a toy next to it...
