How many warehouses were the items coming from?

Be careful with CTD. During the panic they really raised their prices. I haven't shopped there since.

About 3 years ago Cabelas had a GREAT sale on powders so I bought a bunch.

One hazmat fee and one shipping fee. The powder came from 3 different states at 3 different times. Yes the order was completed and they kept me informed as to what was happening.

If a Cabelas is near you try having your order shipped to the store as you will avoid shipping charges.

Just make sure that your STATE SALES TAX does not cost more than the shipping.

I fail to see how those crooks stay in business, I wouldn't even think of using them unless it was a SERIOUS case of desperation!

If CTD were the only source on the planet for an item I really needed -- I would do without.

I only buy from CTD when I have to. But I make sure that all the items are sourced thru one warehouse. They are slick though, items have different prices in different warehouses.

About a month ago, I bought 10 boxes of CCI .22LR AR Tactical at Gander Mountain for 22.00 per box.

Last week My Cheaper than Dirt was asking $80.00 per box for the same ammo.

CTD is on my ignore list also; catalog/flyer/email in the trash or hit delete without even looking. Their gouging during the shortage was anything but cheaper. I don't like their business model and will vote with my wallet.

I would walk thru a palmetto swamp bottom in knee deep mud kicking cottonmouths at every step before I buy anything from CTD.

It is hard for me to belive that anyone in the shooting community even checks their prices anymore, same thing with DICKS.

There is nothing I need so badly that I would resort to buying from CTD. People can buy from whomever their conscience will allow, for me, not happening.

I bought some stuff from them at a reasonable price 10 years ago. Then, it seemed like they changed, from Cheaper Than Dirt to Take 'Em to the Cleaners. Don't know. I sure don't deal with them.

I'd have to be getting a great deal to do biz with CTD...it's possible, but not likely ;)

Same here on buying 8 to 10 years ago they were good to go. Now no way they can starve....

I said I would have to be seriously desperate to buy from them but then since I refuse to even check with them I wouldn't know if they had what I need anyway! Those guys have a seriously flawed business practice and again I still can't understand how they get enough business to stay in operation!

CTD = not gonna happen! At least for me. I saw how they raised prices 2-3 times a day on items during the panic.

...and they wonder why their inventory doesn't move and sales are down?
I'd rather suck s*** through a straw than do business with CTD.

Yeah, screw them.. You can say capitalism, it's their right, whatever... I wouldn't price gouge and I won't patronize someone who does.

I have had much better luck going thru Armlist for things and the shipping is usually a small flat rate box from the seller .....

No more CTD for me either. I'm another that just tosses the catalog as soon as it arrives.

They used to have good prices in the mid to late 90's. In 1997 they had 5.56 ball 55 grain for $69 for 500 rounds. I was shorted on the count 3 times called them and they sent me a whole 500 round box to replace it. I purchased thousands of those rounds and experienced one case separation but not a single FTF. I also purchased cases of the back talon in 9mm, 40S&W, and 45acp from them at around $12 a 50 count box. That will never happen again but boy did I take advantage of it while I could. Once I saw what they did after the most recent gun craze no more (ever). Its not even worthy as bathroom reading material unless I'm in real desperate need of toilet paper or stepped in a dog pile.

I keep track of who screws over my friends. You can do anything you want to me, but take a shot at my brother, and I'll burn you down to a slab and spit tobacco juice on the wreckage.
CTD is dead to me. I won't soon forget what they did.

I was going to order a new Nosler reloading manual from Midway. It's on sale for about $17. Not needing anything else, I went to check out. I figured they would just send it USPS. The total came to $31 and change. Deleted order. Midway does not work with customers on small orders. An additional $16 shipping, and $3 for 'handling'.

CTD has some hornady bullets in stock for decent prices. That is until they tack on the $19.99 shipping.

I'm about done with midway too. I have a dealer discount from being at Curio and Relic FFL and nearly EVERYTHING can be gotten cheaper elsewhere.

If a Cabelas is near you try having your order shipped to the store as you will avoid shipping charges.

Just make sure that your STATE SALES TAX does not cost more than the shipping.

When I last checked Cabelas does not allow you to have powder or primers shipped to your local store. When they did, they would still charge you the Hazmat fee.

I stopped shopping at CTD due to their price gouging. Now that prices are slowly returning to normal, I will not return. Midway became my first choice because of the way they behaved during the same timeframe.

Sheeeooot. She doesn't even have to be the last girl there. My friend developed a mathematical equation (I think) that is not suitable for Our Town, but it holds true here.

CTD was wanting $80 for 20 9mm pmc 124 grain hp's. Thats way to far. They also showed they don't want us coming back when they dropped firearms. Dumb people lose there customers very quickly.
