Hey Im new here, My names Steve, and I have been reading and learning a lot from this site in regards to bullet casting, I am an Airgun-oholic so I hunt with them primarily. I own three guns at the time a Benjamin maurader 22 cal a airforce condor 25 cal and a extreme 457 cal.
I hunt coyote mostly and turkey and anything in between, that can be taken with air rifles in my state.

Welcome aboard, there's a lot of room for development of cast bullets for airguns!

Well as most already know in my state they are trying to ban lead for hunting. I have been looking into alternatives any ideas? I have been looking into bismuth tin mixes, 95/5 solder but its to light, I have not shot bismuth mix yet.

SteveB45, welcome and it's *always* good to post pics! Care to give everyone a run down on what projectiles you hunt with?

Steve: check out Pyramid Air they have a bunch of different kinds of Pellets (largest selection out there) I saw some H&N pellets that were made of some eco-friendly materials.

As far as the no lead in CA thing, Fish and Game has pretty much told Brown that if he signs that bill there will be no more hunting and it will cost him $1.4 Billion to fund their department. Also I don't think he will just because he knows the whole law is based on BS.

Hamish I am using the lee real bullets for my 45 sized down to 457 in the 250 grain. I have not had the rifle long enough yet to try other mold's out yet. As for my 25 cal I still use regular pellets.
W.R.Buchanan I sure hope he doesn't sign it into law because I like my lead, and I get all my lead free from range lead that I go recycle.
