Pre 64 Winchester Stocks

Did Winchester make more than one size pre 64 Model 70 stock. Were all the stocks made for long actions?

The pre 64 Model 70 action are all the same length and the stocks will all be the same screw hole spacing. The 300 & 375 H&H had longer magazines so the stock cutout may be longer.

The barrel channels were different sizes/tapers for FW or standard, and the location of the forward stock screw varied.

Some bbls have a boss larger than the bbl OD for the screw threads, which is in a diffeent position than a bbl w/o the boss.
