problem with gas checks

been looking at the site for awhile and finally decided to join in.i think that this is the one of the most informative sites on casting.i've been reloading and casting for aprox 37 years now.anyway wondered if you folks could help me with this one,i cast a batch of lyman 452651,335gr with air cooled ww,45 cal.i've tried 45 and 44 cal gas checks,both too large for this boolit.any suggestions?

Can you put a set of calipers across the base dia. of the boolit (where the gas check goes)? Can you also measure the I.D. of your gas checks and post your findings?

Measurement should solve the question.
How are you sizing and seating the checks?
A small drop of super glue might help.
