I found this mold among a box of junk this weekend. It looks like a Keith design but is small. Would it be a good hunting bullet on deer for my 6" S&W 19?
Anyone have any load info on this bullet? Should I look for a heavier bullet? It is a PB bullet. Thanks, moodyholler

Is this the bullet RCBS calls the 150 grain SWC ? For 38/357 ?

If so, I am interested in input also.

That is one of the all time greats for accuracy, and a very versatile bullet. You're luck to have found one in a junk box.

Never shot any game with that though, so you'll have to find someone else to help you there.

I have been using this boolit for about20 years now and have found it to be very accurate in several guns SW 19, 28 686 and model 10. It shoots grate and does a very goosd job on Armidallos and deer.I have used 3.4 of B-eye in 38's and 15.5 of 110 and gotten very good results with #2 alloy. My lube is 1 lb of beeswax and 1tube of graphite-moly lube grease.

That's the first mould I bought for my Model 14 Smith, then I got a Model 15, then finally I Model 19 that I currently still own. That is one of the best bullets I've shot in those guns. Very accurate out of all of them. I've also shot that bullet out of some 9mm's too.

I shot this bullet for the first time the other day in my Security Six. I have had the mold for a long time, just never got around to shooting any of the bullets. Nice round small groups with a 38 +P level load using Unique. How fast have you guys pushed this bullet ?

I've shot this bullet at target velocities to magnum velocities and the results are the same for me.....good!!

Joe,

What alloy at the magnum velocities ? I would like to try this using ww, liquid alox, and Unique.

Water quenched WW's with maybe a little linotype added in. I'm shot plain water quenched WW's too without any hassle.
