LOL I wish it would hold off here for another month, bbbbuuut it is coming.
I went up north tuesday and it was a genuine winter wonderland, had to chain up all four drive wheels to get back across the pass empty.

Wood shed is full as of last week. We won't see snow for a little while yet, but right at this moment I have a storm dumping marble-size hail on me.

Rather have the snow than hail anyday.

If and when we get snow it would be just like if and when we get rain around here. No place that important I need to be and just take a look out the window when it's cleared up enough to venture out. We actually like the snow around here, of course we don't get it as bad as some of you folks do.

WOW it's still hitting the low 90's here in the day time and high 60's-mid 70's at night.

Here in NH it is absolutley beautiful fall weather - low in the 40's and high in the 70's with low humidity. This is the best time of the year. Veggies are coming in, leaves will be turning shortly, and fall is here.....perfect. The snow will be here soon also, but we just learn to embrace it and go snowshoeing.

No snow yet but it will be coming soon.

Filled the wood shed a month ago. Been spending the last 4 weeks cutting for a buddy in need. He's got an outdoor burner and man that thing takes a LOT of wood!

It's been over 10 years since we have had any snow to amount to much here (NE TN), get maybe an inch or two a couple of times a season and that melts in a day or so. Of course in this neck of the woods it's hit-or-miss and I have seen nearly two feet of snow and the temperatures down to well below zero F. but for some reason that's not happened in a long time, not that I miss it much. It only got below 20 degrees F about three times last winter and if I am not mistaken about 18 F was the coldest night we had, hoping for more of the same this year as these old bones just don't enjoy the winter like we once did.

It must be nice to have 4 seasons. We have 2 - hot and not so hot.

The leaves are just starting to change. 60's during the day, light frost from time to time at night. Perfect weather!

It has finally cooled off here low to mid 80's about 20-25* cooler at night. I am finally starting to again think of smelting/casting again. Just can't get interested when it's above 80 outside.

We got snow at high altitude this weekend. It's already hoody and beanie weather at night. They are calling for normal precipitation this winter so I expect to get a whole buttload of snow!!!

I love the winter. Time to break out the snow shoes and cross country skis. When the snow is high enough to cover all the brush, the sky is the limit on exploring.

They are calling for a 20 ft sow pack in the Sonora pass which translates to about 7 feet in pickle meados which translates to possibly 3 ft down in the valley. Bring it on!!

But I still need a new seat cover for the snow machine. lol

Bill I had to go to eastern NM last week, and it was raining to beat the band on my drive from Albq to portales. Portales got 4 inches the night I got there.

Been getting down to the mid 60's at night and mid 80's during the day. But by mid week it will be back to the 90's! I would LOVE to see some snow! But here in N. Texas if it snows, it only lasts a day or two and then it's gone. But yes, we have 4 seasons here! Usually in the same week!

We are at low forties at night and around 65 to 70+ daytime. I will put the snow tires on tomorrow as my Grandaughter and my great Grandson will be here on Thursday. She and I are going up to the lake for a week or so and that is at 5400 feet so ? snow (anytime). When we come back I will drive them home to Prince George and then go see if my son and I can get a Moose.

Our maples have turned a month early, the chanterelle mushrooms came out at least a month early, the first monsoonal rain hit this weekend a month early, and the wine grape growers in Oregon are harvesting a month early (earliest in decades). Winter is coming early this year and my woodshed is full. Bring it on!

All we have this morning is a little dusting, I suspect it will go away today. It won't be long now though, till it hangs around for the winter.

I just got back from buying my retirement place in Florida (permanent move), and it was 85 degrees (F) there yesterday. Back in Maine this AM it's a balmy 42 degrees. A mere 10 degrees from freezing water.

I'm sorry, but I really can't stand the cold any more, and hope to be moved to FL by end of October!

If you got any meaningful snow, the Global Climate Change would be a reality!!!! It's 54F here at 7:14pm, but it feels much cooler. I think it is unseasonably cool for September, this year. I've heard that the Artic ice is at record levels. We might be in for a really cold winter for a change. And my old bones won't like that.

I just got back from delivering a jeep to a friend of mine, the road was fine, bbbbbut his driveway had about a 1/2 of ice, is steep, narrow and curvy. It was slip and slide all the way hoping for no damage to anything and wishing I was chained up. lol
