Not having a lot of luck with my modest attempts at getting some low velocity accurate cast Hornet loads. I am currently using Lyman 225438 sized @ .225" and tumble lubed with LLA. BHN is about 10. Should I recast some with Lyman #2 @ 15BHN? Can anyone comment on bullet hardness as experienced with the Hornet?

10 BHN will be just fine. I used to run a softer alloy in my Hornet at 1900fps over 5gr 800X. I push 9.5 BHN out of the .223 Rem at 2300fps over 13gr H4227. Providing you don't up the pressure too much you will be fine.

Are you using GCs?

What is "low level"?

Ok, you answered the questions in other thread. Powders are to slow burning. Switch to Bullseye for reasonable accuracy to about 1050 fps. Or use GCs.

I totally agree with Jeff & Larry. Also, check to make sure that your bullets are not being damaged slightly (sized more on one side than the other) in your lubrisizer. If so, orientate the bullets in the chamber so that they are fired with the error the same way each time

Oops, I see that you are using LLA. If you are not sizing, try weighing the bullets and grouping those that are within .3 grs of the heaviest and orientating the bullets based on the sprue location..
