Me and the kids are praying for you in 5 minutes when they go to bed.

It must feel helpless being away and not being able to go to him.

Keep us posted and God bless.

Good morning
Yes I also will pray for him daily.
I was in Germany when mom wrote me that my dad was in the hospital .. ended up with open heart surgury. These are times we learn to Trust in God. My presence is only limited human. But His presence is Almighty. May God give you all peace.

Prayers sent. Used to be perforated ulcer would cause this, but now ulcers are treated with antibiotics and they are much more uncommon.

From the time I was about 10 years old my mother had major problems with ulcers.

Not quite sure just when but one day roughly 40 years later mom passed out and dad called 911.

The boys were there in about 5 minutes and listened to dad about her symptoms.

Tagamet was in the I V in a minute or so.

Mom never suffered from ulcers for the remaining 25+ years of her life.

Praying that your dad has the same results.

Thinking of you. I lost my pop to a aneurysm a year ago next month. It sound similar to his symptoms the good news is he had three prior to and recovered like new for many years.
Once again thinking of you.Keep the faith.

The Doc's say its probably a "ruptured ulcer". Mondays tests should confirm or denigh.

Thanks to all.

He was doing quite well last night . They want to do the ''bore scope'' from the top down and of course more blood work today.

Thank you again.

(that last post was trapped in my wifi or something )

It looks like he will be headed home tomorrow.
All of the leaks are stopped up and he should be able to ''eat what he wants'' w/in a week or so.

Thank you all for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.

Thanks for the great report.

I remember how happy my mom was when she could finally eat anything she wanted after many years.

Your dad and family must be walking on a cloud this afternoon.

What a great day for all of you.

Glad to hear of the miraculous recovery. He should take stock, figure out what brought this on, and modify something so that it doesn't happen again. I'm glad for his quick recovery. Really.

Thank you guys.

He is 73. His biggest changes will be to drop the hot peppers and cut the 3-4 CC an waters per week to 1. The warfarin from the knee replacement may have also been a contributing factor as there was too much several times.

Dad's not all that much older than me. I'm on warfarin for the second time. Not sure what brought on this clot, but am guessing it's this chair I sit in, too much. Gotta get another. Glad he's doing better.
