While cleaning out an old friends basement I ran across something I haven't seen for years. There were two boxes of USAC plastic 38 special rounds and 3 boxes of snap in cast bullets. I have an instruction sheet but am missing the little plastic reloading tool. I wonder when exactly these were last $4.50 a box?

I have some of those made by Speer! They were $4.25/box back in 1973!

I don't shoot them any more, because I cant find the plastic bullets to replace the ones I lose. You can replace the primer with standard hand priming tool.

P.S. Using only a standard primer, they will penetrate a target, two layers of cardboard, and one side of a hollow core door. (don't ask!)

Those aren't the Speer plastic bullets those are real 38 specials that used a plastic case and 3.0 grains of Bullseye powder to push a 140 to 160 grain bullet.

I found some .30 cal boolits that look like they should be 150gr but they are more like 100 gr. Very hard but lite and frangible I believe. Thy do have a lube groove and a dried old lube. I know they are old as I got them in the 80's with a bunch of old loading stuff.
