I have a 44 levergun that the barrel slugs .431. I want to participate in the MIHEC H & G 503 mold GB. The mold is offered in .432 and .434. My question is should I order the .432 mold and run the casting through a .432 lube/sizer to lube it and maybe true it up a bit, or should I order the .434 mold and size it down to .432 in the lube/sizer?

Casting is all new to me, but I am learning.

Buy the .434 and you might not have to size it at all or maybe to 0.433.

I agree with the .434 mold, you can always size down but sizing up is a challenge.

Agree. Always easier to swage lead down as opposed to beagling the mold trying to add girth/diameter.
