Hi Guys,
I just found this 223 brass in one of my buckets.
It goes to my small collection.
Does anyone know if this is a custom made case or a mess production?
Thats a pretty cool HS, the best i'v seen
(No i didnt engrave this my self)

Internet search has lots of hits.

I once bought a large pile of 5.56 brass cheap at a garage sale. It turned out to be Berdan. I was unaware that 5.56 Berdan primed brass existed.

I found them few times.
Since they are so rare they cost me couple of de-capping pins.
I did find metal cases like the "standard" AK in 223 and 9mm.
I also have "fake" brass 7.62 x 54 real golden brass color until they stick to the magnets.
I then noticed they are very light in weight compare with real brass casing.

IIRC Hot Shot .223 headstamp ( and the brand ) is sold by Century Arms and is manufactured by PMC ( Korea).

I love neat headstamps. I recently got a piece of .243 Winchester with a Sears head stamp.

I have 20 loaded rounds and 20 fired rounds of S&W 308 brass, and just found a S&W 30-06 fired round

I had about 30 or so pieces of Hot Shot head stamp 223 brass in 1500 mixed head stamp brass I bought recently. The head stamp is not quite the same as the one pictured. Mine has Hot Shot 223 Remington stamped on it so the writing is quite a bit smaller and perhaps not as cool looking.

About 30% of the pick up .223 brass is berdan primed here. (Canadian range - cheap import cartridges)
It is worth using a light and looking to sort out the berdan brass. I have at least 500 berdan primed 223 in a separate bag.
The Lee decapping die is the answer - get several extra decapping pins because eventually one will bend or break.
