i would like to buy a good book on casting boolits. i have one of the older LYMAN reloading books, but i would like a book devoted just on all aspects of casting. i don't want to look on net. i do use the net when i have a specfic question.
i have been reloading 25 years, and have had casting equipment and supplies for 10 years, but never have had the time. i am ready to start. i don't know anybody who does it.
thanks
this may not be in the right forum, i didn't know where to put it

This is the book I have and I think it's pretty good.
It's their 4th edition.

http://www.lasc.us/Fryxell_Book_Contents.htm. This link and your old Lyman should get you started in the right direction. Good Luck!!

The Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook is the right source. Whether you find the Third Edition or Fourth Edition, they've long been the definitive authority on casting. They even go into how iron molds are made. You can shop Amazon, they take Paypal and bank drafts too.

Good Luck,
Ron

I would buy both the Lyman#4 and the latest Lee manual.

That Lyman book is good in that it rolls most of the necessary info into one spot. However, there are some myths perpetuated in it and I was able to learn everything in it by reading the Glen Fryxell links and hanging around Cast Boolit forums for a year.

"I would buy both the Lyman#4 and the latest Lee manual"

Me too. That is what I did to add to prior editions.
