So I've got a virus I'm fighting, and I'm trying not to get behind (and failing miserably) and all things considered I'm haveing a rotten day.
My daughter comes out into the shop in her princess nightgown and just makes it all worth it:

Dam, it's going by too quickly!
I'm pretty sure she just learned to walk yesterday.

Couldn't get it to load, probably something I'm doing wrong. Regardless Tim, savor every minute while you can. My Daughters are 53 and 47, but I still remember those special moments. James

Take care of yourself, Tim. I don't mind if my rifle is put off a bit if you need some rest and need to do other's work first.

Hope you feel better. My five year old daughter helped me make up some 44 boolits through the Star today. She'd hand me a single gas check before it got snapped on the boolit. That made my day. The joys of fatherhood are endless.

Tim these are precious times. I know you cherish those times and understand how quickly time passes by. Enjoy every phase of her life. One day you will wake up and wonder where the time went. Our boys are grown men now with almost grown children and we so love to spend time with them. I like this phase too. It may not be my favorite, but I still like it.

Tim, my baby is 39 and I can't even begin to express how quickly it happened! Also brother get the rest you need to get well and go to the Dr before it turns into something worse.

That is the way to live your life! Focus on the beauty and magic and let the rest of it take care of it's self.
to roughly quote Einstein. You can look at the world in 2 ways, either as if everything is a miracle, or as nothing is.
A young human being with a fresh heart and joy is an amazing thing. Savor that time. Rest and care for your health. reasonable people will understand if their rifle is a few days late!

Enjoy every precious moment, too soon she'll give part of her heart to some other man
and go live in his house.

But you will always be "Daddy".

She just walked out there and I'm cussing over a Beuler safety (buttoned my lip real quick) got a torch in one hand, and a brass hammer in the other.
She hugs my leg and says "Daddy, are we gunsmith buddies?"
Off went the torch, and I asked her to please repeat that.
She said "we are going to be gunsmith buddies daddy."
I grabbed my phone and asked her to say it one more time. Now I have it forever.

Can you see the video now?!?

Tim, that's just great. Talk about melting my heart! Such innocence.

My son just turned 30. There were times like that with him too. If only there were small video cameras/cell phones then like there are now, I could have some memories like that. They surely do grow up fast, savor every moment.

I do envy you! And I have to say that your gunsmith buddy is a whole lot prettier than that rascal I take my guns to.

Worked for me.

You're right Tim, it goes by too fast. Thanks for sharing.

I missed out on the early years of all of my children. As I was always off doing Army things, and my daughters were nearly teenagers by the time I was home for good. Now that I am retired I get to spend practically every day with my kids and it makes me realize how much I missed out on. Heck I wasn't in the country even when two of them were born, so savor every moment Tim. They grow up quick.

Best wishes

Joe

I'm sorry Joe. All I can say is thank you. I wouldn't be able to have these memories if you had not been willing to give up yours. My house is yours if you ever need a place to stay.
