I like aluminum molds: no wrist fatigue.
I like the Lee 6 cavity pistol molds with the 3 handle system on them

I want to get a .308 and .313 caliber rifle mold made , same Lee 3 handle system and aluminum blocks.

Is there a maker that does t his ?

Thanks so much.

There are people out there who will recut your mold to a different configuration. I had three recut from gas check to plain base, and I'm sure the shop will do other cuts. Try Erick Oehler at hollowpointmolds.com

Take care, Tom

Tom, I need a 6 cavity rifle mold made from scratch so its not a re cut situation of a factory mold but I most certainly
will contact Erick and see if he can help.

Thank you very much.

Just start with a mold that is smaller and recut it. Lee will also sell the blank mold blocks, but I think it will be cheaper to bore out an existing mold.

I have a six-cavity Mihec .278 mold that fits the Lee handles. It works great and makes a pile of boolits fast.

Did you check out NOE molds? They use lee 6 cavity handles.

The fellow specifically wants the Lee third handle, with the cam that cuts the sprue. I've only seen these on Lee molds.

Ranch Dog closed his shop. I bought some of the last molds he had left.

Yes, that is what I hope to find but it sounds like this might be a dry well ???

I imagine that with everything in short supply, the original timeline will get stretched out. The rumor I heard is that Lee is eventually going to start offering Ranch Dog molds as regular cataloged products.

milprileb, I like the wood handled sprue plates on the Lee molds myself. Not the same, but here's my workaround for other types of molds-
I epoxied a three inch chunk of 3/4" copper pipe onto a 10" piece of old broomhandle. Squished the copper in a vise, and voila!
The copper end fits over the steel 'tail' of the sprue plate to lever it open, and then I can use the other end of the thing to give the mold a tap if the boolits need a nudge to fall
It's not pretty, but it works pretty good.
I'm sure someone else could make a really good looking, professional opener/knocker.

This would sure make sense for them as it would complement their push through sizers. I can't understand whey they have not done this already!

Miha makes his 6-cavity aluminum molds with the third handle cam.
I have three myself.

Steel spru plate, machined steel cam lever, set screws on both spru plate bolts, and hardened screw under cam lever contact. Very Nice !

Mikeym1a, how about going email to him and keep my thread moving to some solutions. I am in pain here
and hoping to find a maker . That okay ? Thanks.

Last I checked LEE does custom bullet molds also. May take a while, though.

Springfield, I am going to call them but was hoping other solutions would arise from the experts here.

However, if I can't find a solution here, its at Lee or its not going to be found ! Gents here have a good

lock on what is on the market and who makes it.

You can retro fit the Lee third handle to a number of multicavity molds.

Red river Rick sells a cam style sprue plate for Lyman 4 cav moulds. I have one. He is in the vendor sponsor section, look him up.

YOU DO - follow the link - just buy an extra LEE handle and bolt for each one you want to convert, buy a drill bit and do it.
