Well with the supply problem being what it is, I find myself using powders lately that I would not normally use. I wanted to work up a plinking load that cycled my AR. Staring for several minutes at my supplies, led me to try some 2700 behind a GC'd WW 70 grain pill. I started with 15 grains after researching and cross referencing and finally with a WAG came up with 15. Imagine my surprise when the darn thing cycled. The chrony showed 1450 fps. I was expecting to come up 5+ grains to achieve a cycle, and boy was I wrong. After checking for pressure signs (found none) I moved up to 16 grains and got 1550. I think this will be a fine plinking round. Now I'll have to load up 20-30 to check for any signs of leading....
