Wifey and here GF's have been out buying Ranch Rifles and were also looking at Ranch Pistols.
OK. I seriously don't think they can get their hands around a double stack magazine in 45ACP
Anyone out there ever had the opportunity to handle these pistols?
For the record I'm not a Can Fan or Plastic Gun Fan.
I'm a 1911 fan myself but if they want to standardize and share mags I'm always looking for an excuse to get a new gun. ;)
TIA,
Duke

Duke,

The FNP is a great gun. I had one for a while. It's just enough smaller than a Glock 21 that it fit my hand where the Glock is too big for me.

It shot very well. With Keith 452424s about once a mag it would nose dive a round but with everything else it worked perfectly.

They made a flush fitting 14 round mag but they quit and are now unobtainium. Mine would lead a tiny bit for it's full length. I fire lapped it and that fixed it. The bore was .4505, quite tight.

I sold it for two reasons. First it was about four months ago and I was offered crazy money for it, couldn't resist. Second, and really the main reason was that parts are mostly non-existent. I didn't need any but I don't like having to depend on someone else to keep my gun going.

Hope this helps.

Duke,

I have one of these pistols but without the can. It was gifted to me by a good friend on my birthday 2 years ago. It came with 3 stock 15 round mags, 2 more 14 round mags in LEO holster as well as the pistol holster. It functions well and is as easily handled as a 1911. One of the young ladies at our range likes to shoot this and she does it as well as a 92fs. She is probably only 100lbs wet. Lee 230gn TC boolits work as well as through any of my 1911's. My only plastic pistol and probably be the only one.
